and here a "stupid" question: when connected to anything, like a Zippy 1 cell battery, how do you get it unplugged? I mean there is nothing to grab the connector with, except the wires themselves, but pulling on the wires is not the way to unplug, plus they come out of their plug-housing. Ideas anybody?

very small pointy nose plyers or very gently pull the cables if all else fails

I have 2 different ways for that:

1) put some heat shrink tube covering the connector and the cables. This is fine if you can grab the cable at the connector.

2) Put some epoxy around the connector, making sure that some of the Epoxy goes into the small holes. But be careful not to cover the conections. I use a toothpick for bringing the Epoxy into the right position.

Both solutions make the cable much more durable, but keep in mind that if you pull to hard, both solutions will fail...

Hope this helps.

hi, I've flying the Sukhoi 26 M micro for some time now and use these mini plugs all the time, just grab both wires and plug and pull gently and gradually, I never had one came loose yet. You can of course replace also them with 0.8 mm or 2 mm pluggs...

You can pull the wires or you can grab the connectors (if you have some nails on your finers :)

I ran into the same problem and destroyed the male connector while getting them seperated! And no, this is not a stupid question. Here's what I do to prevent tis from happening. Find a small triangle shaped nub on the bottom surface of your male connectors and slice it off with a hobby knife. There will still be some friction to keep the connectors mated, however disconnecting them by the shells rather than pulling the wires becomes extremely easy.

glue, i use liquid electrical tape. then u can pull on cable. or use micro deans, better current and ease of use

There are no stupid questions, just stupid answers. Perhaps a dab of hot glue or epoxy to attach the wires to the plug (not too much glue or it won't fit the battery any more) will give you more "grip area" so you won't pull the wires from the connector. Or perhaps a very small flat screwdriver to wiggle between the connector and the one on the battery might help overcome the friction in the plug.

The printed circuit boards of devices at my work have the same connectors (JST-XH). I work at the companies technical services and to unconnect these quickly we use these tiny tie wraps (the smallest type) and wrap on the cable just under the connector. That way you have greater grip.

use 10mm shrink wrap/ cable, a mm or 2 over the plug

I have just got some of these. I use a dab of hot glue around the plug so there is something to grab onto.

I just snag the end of the connector with a fingernail, pull on the cell and it comes right apart. Umm, you could check Horizon's site to see if they offer the female housing that goes around this plug. It's used in the micro birds.

I tend to have a little rough fingers, and simply grab the little white plastic connector to pull it off. It is a little fiddly, but since I use these cables on a micro heli, I am used to working with tiny links, cables, etc. Otherwise, a little shrink tube would give a larger place to grip the wires. Or you could add a drop on thin CA on the side where the wires go in, to glue the wires to the connector. Be careful not to let the thin glue get in the connector pins though. I did this mod to prevent the pins from getting pushed out of the back of the connector, when plugging in a battery. Works fine after quite a number of flights.

Does anyone know if this connector is compatible with JR white plugs (JR TX battery plugs)?
   sooner (75%)
No, I think those are Elco type conn as used in the Hitec Tx but with a reversed polarity..... I do know in the Hitec TX, the batt conn use an elongated pin on the male plug in the radio....... I did find a couple of suppliers out there when Googled Hitec TX batt conn......

At least comparing it to my JR/Spektrum transmitter, the answer is no. It's much smaller then the transmitter plug.

I snipped off one end of these extensions and soldered to one of the "spares" on my Hobby King Charging Harness. I can now charge my ZIPPY Flightmax 138mAh-V2 batteries I use on my Ember at a safe charge rate!

The correct connector type description is

Molex PicoBlade(grid: 1.25mm)

Thats a problem. Take a long nose plier or a pincette. Better you fix the wire on the plug with HoT Glue.
